A driver fell asleep and struck a woman and two children in Eagle Rock on Monday night.
According to Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant Roy Escalante, the accident happened at about 8:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Yosemite Dr. The driver hit a tree and then hit a 55-year-old female pedestrian who was pushing a stroller with two children, ages 13 and three.
The woman and two children were transported to a local hospital for injuries.
According to the police department, the driver was not arrested, but the accident remained under investigation.
